Meet Kianté
Background Story
Growing up in South Los Angeles, I was raised in a home filled with love, where my parents instilled the values of resilience, integrity, and service. But outside, the world wasn’t always as kind. As a queer Black person, I faced adversity, yet my family’s support reminded me that my truth was my strength—not a burden.
Witnessing the struggles in my community, I found my voice in advocacy, standing up for those who felt unseen. Today, I live unapologetically, using my platform to uplift, empower, and amplify voices that deserve to be heard. Because when we embrace who we are, we don’t just survive—we thrive.

I received:
- Bachelor of Social Work degree from Azusa Pacific University
- Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor
- Doctor of Social Work from California Baptist University
